Priorities

It is my ambition to tackle the deep-rooted challenges Dublin South – West Inner City now faces. This means raising our sights as a community and focusing on ambitious, measurable, long-term objectives that provide real tangible improvements to the area.

Housing & Homelessness

I want to tackle the chronic housing and homelessness problem by promoting the construction of more social and affordable housing, introduces key worker housing for people in health, education, emergency services etc. Pilot Retail / accommodation development schemes, increase utilisation of PPP development schemes. Increase the volume of housing including but not limited to: New build, rapid build and regeneration ensuring that we not only have a focus on quantity of new homes, but also the quality of existing ones as well and scaling the amount of commercial conversion to residential use. Greater enforcement of properties that remain on Air BnB or still focus on short term lets in order to facilitate a rebalance towards increasing the volume of long term rentals allowing for the building of communities and better protection for renters.

Cost Of Living

I want to ensure as much as possible is done to provide, promote and educate the squeezed families and individuals that live in the Dublin area about available grants and supports that can be availed of, whilst empowering business to do the same particularly in the SME space which is so vital to Dublin's prosperity.

Health & Recreation, Infrastructure & Services:

I want to improve and increase recreational facilities in public parks and other spaces to ensure greater community benefits through the restoration of the Donore Youth and Community Centre and others. I will also advocate for more places to be created for multi purpose pitches and playing areas. We need root and branch reform of our healthcare system, we need a system that is fit to meet the demands of an ever increasing and aging population. I will advocate for more resource and collaborating more extensively with technology partners to bring forward a more advance healthcare system that works for everyone.

Crime & Anti-Social Behaviour

I will work closely with the Gardaí and Public safety groups to ensure crime and security issues are responded to in a timely and effective manner. My aim is to increase community policing and encourage good positive relationships with the community and Gardai.

Education Access

Access to work experience opportunities for young people who are marginalized working in conjunction with SME’s in the area. Access to an increased number of schools, secondary schools and apprenticeships. In relation to SME’s I also want to promote the growth of small and medium scale enterprise initiatives among people through organisations such as LEO or
